Following the management agreement signed in late 2016 with RAK National Hotels, a subsidiary of RAK Hospitality Holding, the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, was officially flagged earlier in presence of brand and owner’s representatives.
Marking the brand’s entry into the northern Emirate, the hotel joins three other Ritz-Carlton properties operating in the UAE.
Yannis Anagnostakis, chief executive, RAKHH, commented: “The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is globally known for its timeless luxury and presence in the best and most strategic locations in the world.
“We are thrilled to welcome this leading luxury brand to Ras Al Khaimah and we look forward to seeing it contribute to implementing the vision of the Emirate, bringing new standards for hospitality and best in class services to visitors of the region.”
The property is located on a 500-hectare wildlife nature reserve, and features 101 renovated luxury villas with private pools, offering tranquillity, serenity and world-class service with desert escapism.
With each bespoke pool villa designed by renowned architect and interior designer, Kristina Zanic, there is a strong focus on traditional Arabic details, highlighting the exquisite theme of luxurious Arabian hospitality with a touch of modern elegance.
The hotel also showcases an impressive transformation following a complete extensive remodelling to the lobby lounge in the last few months in addition to the introduction of several new restaurants.
Commenting on the transformation of the resort, Amit Arora, general manager at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, said: “We have worked over the past months to create a world-class team of committed ladies and gentlemen to provide the highest quality of Arabian hospitality in Ras Al Khaimah.
“We are excited to start this journey, and aim to adopt the best international practices to exceed our guests’ expectations.”
In line with the theme of keeping local tradition alive, The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, hosts the first Ritz-Carlton Equestrian & Adventure Centre for guests to experience the natural desert landscape on an organised horse trek through 500 hectares of unspoilt nature.
Among the restorations, the hotel launches The Ritz-Carlton Spa, bringing a deluxe touch with an exclusive ESPA product line.
For those seeking a decadent spa experience, the spa brings together locally sourced herbs and spices and expert therapists, offering guests the chance to completely unplug and escape in the palatial desert hotel resort.
With a variety of royal and deluxe pavilions, The Ritz-Carlton Spa is the perfect setting for an array of treatments offered.
